A classic tail water fishery boasting one of the highest fish counts in Big Sky Country. Tiny bugs and big fish make this an unbelievable slick water experience for those who are not afraid of 7x and bug sizes ranging from 18 to 22. Blue Ribbon trout numbers offer plenty of opportunities at oversized Rainbows and massive hook-nosed Browns.
March-May- Skwalas, BWOs and the all the standard subsurface Mo bugs for this time of the year. May also will bring the Mothers Day Caddis hatch that is a must on the fishing bucket list. Fishing over here during this time period can be wonderful. Provided the early weather patterns don’t blow you off this is great place to take care of that built up cabin fever.
June-August- PMDs, Caddis, Tricos, and Hoppers make up the bug menu for the big Mo this time of the year. The huge pods of trout become every so willing to eat on the surface. It is our favorite time of the fishing season to be on the Missouri.
September-October – BWOs will satisfy any of your needs and there are so many fish that want to eat because of the onset of cooler temps.
