The river is dropping and should fish well this week. Here is a Bitterroot double from this week.
The rain the last few nights is showing in the river. Stream flows jumped and the clarity fell way off. The charts are evening out and with any luck we should be fishing well again in a day or so.
There were more bugs on the water yesterday, in the mid-river, than we have seen so far this year. Skwalas and BWOs had them looking up. The Alberta boys hung in there through the weather last week and had a strong finish to their annual trip.

Nasty wind and some pelting hail made for an exciting day on the water today. Fishing was ok given the weather. Stonefly nymphs, worms ,….and a few on the foam Skwala.
